Happy Thursday!
We have almost made it through a full week of school here at ICS! This is only our second full week since before Christmas!
This Sunday is our Annual Open House and Pancake Breakfast from 9 am-noon. Please plan to join us and eat breakfast here- all proceeds will go toward the next 7th and 8th-grade Washington, DC trip in spring 2026. While at Open House, stop in the Title I room (up on the third floor) to meet our Title I teacher, Mrs. Gill, learn about our Title I program, read a book together with your child, AND enter a raffle to earn a prize! Bring friends and encourage them to become a Saint!
Registration materials for current students will be coming home tomorrow. Please go over your packet and return the completed forms, along with the registration fee of $160 per K-8 student ($100 per preschooler). This allows us to start to plan for the 2025-2026 school year. We are asking that you return the forms and the registration fee by April 11, which will also give you a chance to win a $500 Option C voucher for the 2025-2026 school year. Remember, your registration fee guarantees you a spot in the classroom.
For our parents who pick up their children in the pick-up line, please do not block the entrance to the gates, as it prohibits others from pulling into the parking lot, causing traffic to back up on the street. Please continue to be patient with drop-off and pick-up.
Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria. Next week's lunch menu is chicken nuggets on Monday, soft tacos on Tuesday, pancakes on Wednesday, popcorn chicken on Thursday, and pasta with Alfredo sauce on Friday. March lunch menu
NEWS WORTH REPEATING
Scholarship materials for 2025-2026 were sent home a couple of weeks ago. Please go over the forms and make any corrections, sign, and return, along with your proof of residence. If you have any questions about this, please reach out to me.
Just a reminder that we do our best to go outside each day for recess. Please send your children to school with a jacket or coat, hat, gloves, etc. If a junior high student is wearing their hoodie as a jacket, he or she will be asked to remove it in the classroom. We will no longer be handing out hats and gloves to students without, as we need to be careful when sharing such things. This also teaches our students responsibility- when it is cold outside, it is important to come to school prepared.
Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30am for $1 which includes milk.
Please be sure to go into Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times. You are welcome to send a check or cash into the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
