Weekly School Update 12/19/2024

Happy Thursday!

What an incredible performance!  Thank you to all of our students for their hard work, and a shout-out to Mrs. Schuster, on another great show!

There is an awful lot planned here for tomorrow.  We will begin with Mass for our K-8 staff and students and then return to the school and get into our Houses.  We will spend the morning in Houses (including getting to see the preschool program!!), eat lunches with Houses, and a little more time in the afternoon with our Houses.  We will head over to Adoration with our homerooms at the conclusion of Houses and will then head back to our classrooms to finish out the day.  So much excitement for tomorrow!

Continue selling those raffle tickets.  We reached our first school-wide incentive--Hat Day!    Our next school-wide incentive is Sock Day.  I also pull a ticket each week and that seller wins lunch.  The winner this week was Penelope in preschool--she got to enjoy Wendy's for lunch today!  Over Christmas and New Year's is a great time to sell those tickets!

Several people have been asking questions about the playground situation here at the school.  Please see the attached flyer, which explains what is happening.  This same page will also be in this weekend's church bulletin.

Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria.  The first week of January's lunch menu is popcorn chicken on Monday, hard taco on Tuesday, pancakes on Wednesday, hot dog on Thursday, and Johnny Marzetti on Friday.  January lunch menu

On behalf of the entire church and school staff, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Blessed 2025.

NEWS WORTH REPEATING

Just a reminder that we do our best to go outside each day for recess.  Please send your children to school with a jacket or coat, hat, gloves, etc.  If a junior high student is wearing their hoodie as a jacket, he or she will be asked to remove it in the classroom. We will no longer be handing out hats and gloves to students without, as we need to be careful when sharing such things.  This also teaches our students responsibility--when it is  cold outside, it is important to come to school prepared.

Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30am for $1 which includes milk.

Please be sure to go in to Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times.  You are welcome to send a check or cash into the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.

  • Upcoming Dates

    • January 6--return to school

    • January 10--Second Quarter Awards in the gymnasium after Morning Announcements/ Report Cards to go home

    • January 20--Martin Luther King, Jr., Day--no school
